Thomas Miller's Adventurers

Since the search function is disabled, forgive me if this has been posted before.

The Adventurers has reached it's end, clocking total 800 episodes. For those who haven't read it or heard from it, go to www.peldor.com. It's essentially REALLY big storyhour, with first 125 episodes covering actually played sessions and thereon continued by the author. And after you have read it, post a thank you note for Thomas, he sure deserves it for his 10 years of writing :)

Anyway, anyone who has enjoyed Piratecat's Storyhour or similar things should read Adventurers through. That about covers it, stories can do the talking for themselves.

Extra vouch for Thomas Miller's Stories. They are among the first internet D&D sagas (he started posting to ftp sites in 1991, about a year after the game ended). It is without a doubt the first saga I have ever seen that chronicles an adventuring group's rise from the anonymity of first level to the heights of prestige and power at 15th to 20th level, and is VERY entertaining reading. The stories are written in 2nd edition style, but are quite easy to follow.

Quite frankly, he did something that both Indiana Jones and James Bond could learn from: he Retired them.

www.peldor.com - it is well worth the read.

Yeah, I found the saga on the web about 5 years ago and have been a subscriber since. If you read them from the beginning, you will see how the characters, as thomas as the writer, grow in both style and maturity. Some of them never grow up. Others settle down. Its all very good reading. I can't recommend it enough.

I actually thought about starting this thread a few days back. Thanks, zorlag, for bringing attention to this worthy story. I've been re-reading TM on and off for a few years, and the opening part of the saga in particular (1st 100 or so stories) are the archetype for the online D&D story hour. The characterizations are great, and the dynamic between the characters is priceless.
