I'd probably go full caster exclusively if the game started at level 5 or later, though going Warlock 2 followed by Bard 18 or Sorcerer 18 would probably ease my issues with low level casters starting from 1. The character I've chosen to play is a Paladin whose likely to multiclass at some point. I've built the ranged Sharpshooter and have concluded its very powerful while very boring. I'm not really feeling the 5E tank mechanics after years of playing 4E defenders. It just seems like a letdown. I think spellcasters might be where it's at in the long run, but looking at the mechanics they seem to start out a bit slow.</blockquote>
