Threadlocking spammer necromancy?

Recently some spammers are pulling out ancient threads to spam in. Is it possible to threadlock those threads when brought back from 2002?

Why? If the thread has no interest to anyone it will drop off the front page quickly. if it has interest to some it will spawn new discussions. I don't see the problem.

No problem indeed. If new interest is sparked in a thread because a spambot post sent it to the top, that proves the topic still has life in it.

That's our position as well. Sometimes it's fun to see the old threads!

I agree with PC here- sometimes those old threads spark some interesting discussion.
