[HEADING=2]Knights & Legends 3E Development Update[/HEADING] A brief update in the development of the new K&L core book. First, I'd like to thank everyone for spending a minute or two going over this thread. As many already know, there are several games being released soon and perhaps one or two are bound to catch your attention. I'd like to introduce the upcoming game's cover (above), and the direction this new title will be taking. As previously mentioned, inspired by the rather positive outcome Knights & Legends 2E had. I'm preparing to release the new core book in the coming days. Hopefully within the next two weeks, though it could be pushed till mid September. The original Knights & Legends, which today I mostly refer to as 'Classic K&L' aimed to equip the players with a generic dungeon crawler featuring light rules emphasizing less reading, more playing. In that aspect, the game nailed it. However, few costumers made clear they felt the game was lack-luster in few of its goals. E.g. they wanted more lore, finer background details, less GM related prepping. I did what I could with the feedback received. But as a visionary game dev, many of these 'implementations' couldn't be achieved right at that specific moment due to most importantly, turning the game into something I didn't envision. I didn't want the game to fee like a clone, and a lot of the feedback directed that way. I wanted the game to hold its own against popular titles. Fortunately, thanks to a lot of publicity and the Q&A I had for New Horizon, I was able to materialize that idea, the identity I envisioned for the game. Basically, it's as simple as an OSR inspired dark fantasy adventure in a custom built world, with its own lore, core rules, etc. With 3E, and the feedback the RPG community shared with me. I fully embraced the idea of making not only a lore-rich and more detailed game, but also putting to good use all the self taught experience I managed to acquire within he last 5 years, to deliver a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Knights & Legends 3rd Edition, will be a dark lore-rich game with huge emphasis on how the world came to be. There will be pages and pages of detailed Ezorian history to digest. But not only that, it keeps the lore consistent with many of what you were already presented from past games. The big difference is that a lot of information, including notorious NPC backgrounds will now be presented in a rich and consistent story. The GM, could literally read out loud to players or share the lore guide as a intro to the world's setting. Most importantly, it wouldn't be K&L without its unique player classes! You'll find a lot of memorable content, but also many new things that will set this game apart from its predecessors. 'Tis old fashioned gaming for old school gamers, and newcomers alike. More to be revealed soon!
