... because you can never have too many prismatic spells. Though one of them is actually a conversion of the flagon variant of the rainbow spell from the 1e Unearthed Arcana. ---- Prismatic Armor Abjuration Level: Wiz/Sor 7 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Personal Target: You Duration: 1 minute/level (D) You surround yourself with a scintillating aura of many colors. The prismatic armor has seven layers, each of which protects the caster against a single type of attack. Once a layer negates an attack, it vanishes. If two or more layers could negate an attack, the caster decides which layer to use. Prismatic armor also provides an armor bonus to AC equal to the number of layers remaining. Color / Protects against Red / Fire Orange / Acid Yellow / Electricity Green / Poison Blue / Transmutation Indigo / Mind-affecting spells Violet / Necromancy ---- Prismatic Orb Evocation Level: Wiz/Sor 6 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Area: 5-ft.-radius burst Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: See text Spell Resistance: Yes A ball of writhing colors leaps from your outstretched hand and explodes in a spray of rainbow light. All creatures within the target area suffer the effects of a prismatic spray. ---- Rainbow Flagon Evocation Level: Cleric 5 Components: V, S, M, F, DF Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: Rainbow flagon Duration: 1 round/level; see text Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No This spell creates a multicolored goblet filled with seven draughts of pure water. Each time you pour forth a draught, a color of your choice drains from the goblet and infuses the poured water, transforming it into a magical liquid. The effects of a draught are based on the spell it mimics, as indicated on the table below; their effects persist for the duration of the equivalent spell, not the duration of the rainbow flagon. Unused draughts disappear when the rainbow flagon spell expires. Color / Effects Red / Cure light wounds Orange / Resist energy (fire) Yellow / Remove blindness Green / Delay poison Blue / Remove disease Indigo / Resist energy (cold) Violet / Remove paralysis Material Component: Holy water. Focus: A rainbow must be visible in the sky. Alternatively, the caster may use as a focus a 1,000gp diamond upon which he or she has cast bless and prayer when in sight of a rainbow.
