First Post
I just picked up Issue 1 from my FLGS and have to say that for the money, this is one of the absolute best RPG purchases I have made.
I suspect that in many ways, this is what many people hoped that Dragon would be.
I especially found usefull the articles on:
- Drinking Rules- While not difficult to figure out - it is nice to have in print
- Ambience Events - Basically descriptive elements for a dungeon environment - again pretty simple stuff, but very easy to forget for DM - I know I certainly do to the detriment of my game
- The Adventurers' Guide to Surviving Anything - Simply put - placing rules and DC's around many of the crazy things that adventurers might want to do. For example - want to stop that wagon by shoving something into the spokes - there is a mechanic for it.
-Extended Alchemy - basically making the Alchemy skill usefull
Again, none of these are anything that a good DM can't figure out - However, I like the fact that they are in print and I do not have to create potentially bad rules on the fly. (Speaking from personal experience regarding the shoving spears into a wagons wheel)
So I would like to say thanks to the community at large - and especially all the contributors to this fine publication.
