Message: <blockquote data-quote="Daern" data-source="post: 6400895" data-attributes="member: 81800">Sounds good.I think encouraging rp with the dragon rather than a battle can make for a good connection if you want to run Hoard of the Dragon Queen.  Either the cultists are stealing Venomfangs eggs or they are supplicating her for help.  Having the dragon they've already negotiated with busy with some cult-based wickedness attacking a town is great continuity.By the end of Phandelver PCs are 4th level, nearly 5th.  Mine are the same by a different route.  I went with the attack but didn't give them the opportunity to defend the town.  We'll move straight into chasing the cult to their encampment, perhaps setting up a "challenge fight" situation on the way...</blockquote>
