(copied from your own quote).If he's faking a metamagic version of a spell that's been discounted in some manner, it doesn't matter - nothing in the discounting methods override the scribing costs, as those are based on the spell + metamagic (such as seen <a href="http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/magicItems/scrolls.htm" target="_blank">Here</a>), rather than "spell slot cast out of" (or however you want to phrase it).  So when you've got a spell scroll that you're metamagicing up, sure, it's UMD DC 24 to scribe that scroll of Enlarged Widened Quickened Intensified Maximized Stilled Silenced Empowered Energy Admixtured (three times) Meteor Swarm, as far as scroll pricing is concerned, it's a ... what, 36th level spell ... and so uses the Epic scroll pricing, at 1692 xp and 21,150 gp to create, for a one-time effect.  He'll still need the appropriate item creation feat (Scribe Epic Scroll), however.</blockquote>
