Bruggin's left eyebrow twitched a little; this practically beardless whelp was *challenging* him? The cleric of Clangeddin had expected to have to issue a challenge amongst veterans training recruits, and thus have his brawl. Removing his maul and his waraxe from his belt, he held them both in one hand and reverently leaned them against a nearby wall. "Ye're so sure? Alright then; time fer ol' Bruggin to show ye how 'tis done!" Clenching his fists, the warrior priest grinned, eyes alight with an inner flame hotter than the forges themselves. "Loser pays the tavern tab!" Laughing aloud, the young Dwarf stepped forward, almost jauntily, and threw the first punch; Bruggin, being far older and more expirienced, was too prepared for such a blow, and as the fist thumped relatively solidly into Bruggin's stomach, the Thane of Clan Torunn flexed all his muscles at once, gritting his teeth as he began to channel the power of his patron. The younger Dwarf withdrew his hand sharply, shaking it in surprise as Bruggin stamped his left foot once and bellowed, "BY CLANGEDDIN'S BEEEAAARRRD!" Heavy, short fingered hands reached eagerly for the younger Dwarf, wrapping brutally powerful arms about a young Dwarf with too much to learn. Whipping is head back, Bruggin's eyes went wide as he howled loudly, his deep basso rumbling for hundreds of yards... and then, there was a loud crack, as of two skulls meeting meatily and with much force. Gripping the upstart messenger whelp by both the belt and the shirt, Bruggin hefted him off the ground with ease, then whirled to fling the Dwarf in full body spread at the very wall he had laid his weapons against. There was a resounding thump, and then the Dwarf sank to the ground, nearly dead from the battle priest's pent up frustrations. Shaking his head, Bruggin uttered a flustered exclaimation, lips flapping noisily as his beard wagged to and fro. Dusting off his hands, Bruggin asked forgiveness for being so harsh on the young lad, and immediately channeled a powerful healing spell into his limp form*. Helping the Dwarf into a sitting position, the older Dwarf sighed and thumped him on the chest with his knuckles, a sign that a lesson had been given just now. "I changed me mind; beer's on me." * - Bruggin converts Holy Smite into Cure Critical Wounds: "Bruggin rolls 4d8+11, getting [7,7,2,5,11] = (32)".
