Following one of these experiments, Jared noticed that he was slipping and sliding a lot, often for no apparent reason. Jared also noticed that he was faster on his skateboard, and during the school year, would sometimes have trouble holding onto things like basketballs and metal objects during shop class.</p><p></p><p>Eventually, Jared learned he could control this "slipperiness", and could even reverse the process, making things "stickier". While not at all hesitant to take advantage of this situation, Jared started to notice that he had to do nothing to cause this attention, and it would even happen when Jared intentionally tried to make himself physically repugnant.
