[QUOTE="clark411, post: 1208004, member: 4768"] More priestly, less combat cleric eh? Talk to your DM as to what he interprets for oration / leading sermons. Some will say Diplomacy, as this reflects your ability to present your opinion / goals in a manner that serves your best interests (getting followers) while others will tell you to get Profession (Speaker) or Perform (Oration). Whichever it is, max the skill. Beyond that, high CHA. Make definite connections to your church and try to set up a "I do this / get XXX followers in Templetown and you give me X adepts to run the church with me." Build your own temple, consider taking the landlord feat and turn it into a cathedral. Consider picking up a few item creation feats. Just to be original, I'll posit Brew Potion... you will get steady income if you charge your team mates below norm but well within the profit margin, and you can use this money to make up for your non-combat focus with better gear. Furthermore you can fund new temples or decorate your old ones.. invest in town infrastructure or simply have grand sacrifices to Tyr. If you do get all of this done, consider taking classes and feats or even templates that bring you closer to your deity... Divine Agent is a great example of this. None of this looks great on paper perhaps, but realize that being in favor with your god may be one of the most powerful things you have on your side, DM willing. Of course talk to your DM first so you won't expect too much... being a "hee a deity likes me lots!" character can be fun in it's own right anyway... they're one of the few concepts out there that actually doesn't mind the prospect of death.
