Message: <blockquote data-quote="invokethehojo" data-source="post: 4142755" data-attributes="member: 62525">I like to start off sessions of new games or environments by making the PC's wake up with no memories.  I give them a few minutes to try and figure out what's going on and then I shake things up with a combat or some type of challenge.  This works perfectly with pregens as it allows the Players to make up the characters as they go.  It also gives you some time to adjust because the players will be asking a lot of simple questions from the start.  At the end of the session(s) you can decide to give them back thier memories, or parts of them, or make a long (possibly conspiracy like) campaign to make them learn who they were and why crazy stuff is happening to them, like how they lost thier memories.just an idea</blockquote>
