To Hit Armor Class 0

I was just planning out my pbp game and the strangest thought hit me. Has anyone took the time to stat out or figure out what their 3.x characters THACO might have been? This might come during a boring game session, or as you begin the creation process. Would you consider ac 0 to be 20 or 25 or even higher? Things like that. I just want to see what other Enworlders might have thought on the subject. And yes…I have done it myself. I like using 20 as my 0.

AC 0 was Platemail +1 with a Shield +1. Ironically, we don't have platemail in 3.5, so we'll use half-plate instead. Half-plate +1 is AC 18, and a large shield +1 gives +3 to AC, so AC 0 is the equivalent of AC 21. 20's near enough the mark for rounding.

Most of my group would be -10 to -15 with one being -22 with the correct conditions. Freaky.

I like using 20 as my 0.

According to the conversation document from 2e to 3e, 20 is the new 0. I've done it but it really isn't hard to figure.

I like to convert new monsters back to 2e. Helps me get a better feel for them.
