Today's Funkwinkerbean - D&D Fan?

For those that get this comic in their paper, take a look at today's comic (1/8/03).

The first panel has what appears to be a Bugbear and Remorraz in it (In fact the Bugbear looks like it was copied directly from the 3e MM!!!!!)

I would post a URL - but the online site is 2 weeks behind today.

Wow--you're right! I don't think that it's just chance that two DnD-specific critters popped up there.

The guy who draws Winkerbeen has always been a geek. Though I think he was best during the 80's (yes, I'm that old) when he reset the characters at the start of senior year, every year.

Trivia: He used to play trombone. That's why there are trombone jokes every now and then.
