Jason tries to strike at the spider, attacking him, but his rapier goes wide, as the spider shifts its weight and avoids the clumsy attack. It clicks its mandibles as the two continue to square off. Jason uses a Move-Equivalent action to draw his rapier, then an attack action to strike, rolling a 10 and missing. Jalban brings his hooked hammer down in a wild strike as he strikes at the spider trying to maim Bjorn, but the weapon falls short of the spider! Jalban rolled a strike of 8 and misses. Bjorn draws his blade and tries to strike as well, but his blade glances off the spider’s carapace in a weak strike, as he tries to get his footing. Bjorn rolled a strike of 7 and misses. Cenkil bring his dwarven war axe to bear, and slams it down into the spider trying to accost him, splitting it in half with ease, as he yells out a dwarven curse. Cenkil rolled a strike of 21 and does 7 damage, killing the spider! Drakor meanwhile is able to bring his large blade down into the spider accosting him, and splits the hard carapace spraying warm internals across the rocks. Drakor rolled an 18 to strike and did 7 damage as well. Leaving now only 8 spiders left to fight. Lif raises his axe to strike but misses, as he stumbles back to avoid the spider. He stays on the ready but the fear in his eyes, belies his show of courage. Lif rolled a 6 to strike, and missed. The dwarven soldiers strike back at the spiders, and between the five of them, they are able to slay three, of the mindless creatures. They then converge on the remaining two spiders, which seem to show no concern for themselves or their well being clicking their mandibles in a mindless fury! Three Blackhorn dwarves hit, killing three spiders. It is now Kerrik’s turn. The start of Round 2.
