Jalban crushes the spider he is facing with a powerful squash, with a resounding crunch! The legs twitter for a moment, but the spider is thoroughly dead! Saving Bjorn from further injury from that spider. Jalban rolled a 20 total, and did 12 points of damage to the spider. Leaving now only three spiders. Cenkil swings his axe at the axe accosting his brother but misses, as Drakor smashes the bothersome vermin with his axe, splitting it in twain! Lif then turns his attention to his brethren and tries to help them overcome the spiders. But his blows are clumsy as the dwarves try to finish off the remaining two spiders! The dwarven warriors make short work of the last two spiders, as the scene of excitement grows silent for a moment. Cenkil missed with a 10, while Drakor hit with an 18, and did 7 points of damage. Lif missed his attack with a 6, while the dwarves finished off the rest of the spiders. Now out of combat. The dwarves' breath ragged breaths as they glance around for any more dangers. In the distance somewhere a rock clangs against the earth in a jarring echo, but little else stirs besides the party and the dwarves. Then a voice* rings out in the in the pale sunlight, as the sun begins to set. A raspy high-pitched voice that echoes through the crag like a haunting cry it seems to be filled with venom… *Translated from Goblin “Begone filthy Blackhorn rats! You cannot defeat the swarm, it will consume you! The two you left behind will die slowly at our hands for the injustices done! Maglubiyet’s vengeance shall be done!” Cenkil breathes back a ragged breath, “I do not know what that voice said, but it sounded like goblin-speech to me.” Lif nods, “We must save the others,” he turns to the party, and then looks back to Cenkil, “I will go back for them alone if I must.” Cenkil grumbled as he mulled over his options.
