The Next Day’s Journey With Jalban taking the point once again the party takes the smaller trail to the east towards the Iron Deposit that the dwarven party had set out to find. The party comes to a branching in the trails according to the map, they take the southeastern trail as opposed to the more northeastern path, and continue along the grade along the ten-foot wide path until they come into site of a low crudely constructed smithy. The tools are old and rusted, and there is a crude forge, with many cracks, and broken tools around it. They are sized for smaller denizens and from Drakor’s and Lif’s knowledge are of goblin manufacture it seems. Ten feet behind the crude structure is a crude mine entrance that stands about five feet in height, and a yawning darkness from within. Lif looks around, “I see no sign of goblins, do you Jalban?” Jalban makes a Spot Check and gets a 15, opposed to a Hide Check of 4 Jalban notices lingering in the entranceway of the Mineshaft, a small rock-like figure about four feet in height, squat and vaguely humanoid, though easily blending with the rock around it by its own rocky composition. He sees it twist unnaturally as if looking around. Jalban is the only one to notice the creature it is approximately ten feet from the party in the entranceway of the mine. Jalban is closest to it, with the standard party formation.
