Mostly because if he's not, he'll get his butt kicked. Don't get me wrong, he will be able to hold his own in a fight but just like every other monk, he's not a tank. Imagine this: It's night time, but you can't tell since it's continually dark in the dungeon anyway. Your torch casts dancing shadows across the walls, making it hard to retain your composure. You can't imagine the rest of your group living through that combat. Those adventurers were powerful. A shadow moves, you panic and point your torch in that direction. Maybe it was just your eyes playing tricks on you again. You turn around........... and see a figure. A human figure, but with the head and claws of a cat. He moves gracefully, right up in front of you. The last thing you see on this realm for eternity is the glowing eyes of the cat and claws rending your body.........I couldn't help but think of a kitty in a cave. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /></blockquote>
