Tomb of Horrors DM Rewards Edition

Hey all-

So my plan to run the Isle of Dread with the Tomb of Horrors on top of the plateau is moving on to the Tomb portion of the quest, and I am wondering if the Tomb is meant to be run as one long stretch or if the group can take extended rests? The module itself doesn't say.

I think they'll be desperate to replenish surges but the Tomb doesn't lend itself to sleepovers, especially as I've recooked it as a sentient warforged-like entity that can change itself around given time.

Anyone else run this module, and have any thoughts?
