Re-Introducing the Tome of Encounters at the DM's Guild, a source book of 25 awesome lairs/encounters designed to challenge characters from 1st to 10th level while showcasing the versatility of 5E D&D! Back in the era of Second Edition, TSR, Inc. released two products called the “Deck of Encounters I & II”. Each card was presented with just the absolute basics for a DM to run a short, simple encounter. During this same time they released a number of books called the “Book of Lairs” which each featured a different monster in its lair and an adventure hook, usually not running more than one or two pages. Using that model, the members of a USA-based game club, decided to emulate those great formulas for 5th Edition with the Tome of Encounters 5E. The Tome includes all new original adventures, many written in the style and whimsy of the Second Edition days (like our heroes of the day, including Roger E. Moore, Jeff Grubb and Skip Williams). If you need an hour or two to fill, or are lost for an encounter idea in a specific location (or worse, if the PCs turned left when you needed them to turn right), we hope this book fits the bill for you and provides hours of adventure! • 25 new mini adventures. • 10 new or converted monsters. • 6 NPC stat blocks, dozens of NPCs overall. • Conversions of old favorites like the boggle, the spellweaver and the voadkyn. • Basic rules for haunts in 5e. Comments and reviews are very welcome, please review/rate and let us know! Improvements based on feedback will be available!
