This is exactly right. I figured that it was pretty self evident that this is a preference poll. Polls in this circumstance are preference and not an objective evaluation of something this complex. I mean, if you think a poll holds no meaning if the question subjective;then, I guess we better get rid of voting and democracy, right? I've made this analogy over and over again, and I'm not sure what is so hard to understand about it. 5e and the other editions (as a whole) are being evaluated as to which you think will be better. Think of this as an incumbent (older editions who have already been proven for good or bad) and a new comer (5e) who isn't even in office (released) yet. We have hear much of what 5e has to say and now I'm simply taking a poll if you think 5e will be a better edition than the old editions (as a whole). If you think an older edition (as a whole, even if it does have some flaws) is better than 5e, then your answer with the poll would be "no". If you think 5e (what it's promising) looks better than the older editions than you would vote "yes". I don't really know how to make it much clearer than that. This is by no means objective at all, but clearly people have made decisions right now based on the information given to them. I will probably do this poll again when everything is out and people have been playing a while (think of the newcomer's first term in office, we will see how well he ACTUALLY did). The reason of the poll in the first place is the fact that I wanted to see how the community (as a whole) think the new edition will do. It's very very hard to go through topics complaining about this mechanic or that mechanic, to get a clear idea of how the populous perceives this upcoming edition. Again, I didn't really think this needed explaining but I guess it does. If you still don't get it, then... just... replace the question with "Do you think you will enjoy running 5th edition more than other editions, knowing what you know at this point in time?" Is that acceptable?
