"Best selling 'other' fantasy RPGs of 2021"
"2. Minsc and Boo’s Journal of Villainy (5e) by Wizards of the Coast."

Sure, not an official product, but mayhaps it should not have been on a list of non-D&D game material...

Anyway, some surprising ones on there. Worlds Without Number isn't a game I ever hear about, but there it is at #1...

I received the hardcover copy of Ptolus for D&D 3.5 as a gift many, many years ago. I never set a campaign there or read the entire thing, but what I did read I enjoyed.

How is this surprising? Stars Without Number (like a B/X-Traveller hybrid) had been sitting in the Top 20 on DriveThruRPG for what felt like years, and Worlds Without Number was Kevin Crawford's fantasy version of that reknowned game. It does get mentioned in a fair number of threads, particularly when it comes to OSR or alternatives to 5e.

Surprising in the sense that the game wasn't familiar to me (I've heard of Stars but not Worlds), I've never seen it mentioned in any threads I've followed, and therefore I didn't expect to see it at the top of the list? Not everyone who plays D&D keeps up with OSR developments...

Here WWN is mentioned in a recent thread that you have clearly read. Keep in mind that this list reflects best sellers on DriveThruRPG. If you mainly read on ENWorld forums about upcoming D&D 5e releases, 5e errata, D&D lore/canon, or only look what's on DMsGuild, then yeah, that will skewer your perception on things. But if you spend any time on DriveThruRPG or other general threads, then this list is of little surprise.
