So, wanting to help out the site, I follow his link, and go vote. Then what? I probably want to read the rest of the D20 news on ENWorld, so I backbutton or link right back to this site, voila! the voting site just gave ENWorld a hit! I'm convinced this accounted for a lot of the traffic that site gave ENWorld.And anyway, like Morrus said, 900 hits a month isn't jack to a site that has ~3000 registered users and is probably getting upwards of 10,000 hits a day. Regardless of quality, those other sites are small beans compared to ENWorld and Wizards.com. ENWorld is probably approaching saturation level (in terms of the people that are online now that would want to come here probably already know about the site, the influx of new gamers or net users aside) It becomes even more of an exercise in futility now for ENWorld, because the outdated traffic building tools no longer noticeably increase visits to this site. Now, if it's fun, and not too much hassle, then yeah, be a "team player" and join in with all the other sites for a goodnatured popularity contest, but if, as Morrus said, it gets to be a pain, well, I'm sure running the site itself is hassle enough, why ask him to keep another burden when the effort isn't justified by the payoff?</blockquote>
