I'd certainly like to see them drop the NDAs during the open portion of the playtest. I'm not all that sure how they are meaning "open" though. It might simply mean that anyone is open to sign up and sign an NDA to playtest.

Spring isn't that far away. Give them some time to work on getting it open play test ready. Everybody is so impatient.

<idiot mode invoked> What is an NDA? I'm seeing the term thrown around in the 5e threads and I have no idea what the letter mean/stand for.

Thanks.

I hereby cast my sacred vote to the idea that WotC maintain their NDAs in place until the time they see fit to remove them.

I agree. While I really wish they'd get on with it and get the playtest up and running, this is their process, it's their reputations (and jobs) that are on the line, so it should proceed at their pace and under the conditions they set.

The NDAs were a condition for getting early access to the material, and not an unreasonable one. If they choose to waive them now, I will applaud that move, but it's their choice. Sorry.

I certainly don't object to the time they wish to take though I am confused by the language they are choosing to use in some cases, particularly what is meant by the word "open."
