Torn Asunder...Thoughts?

First Post
Greetings All,

I know there was thread or two running around on this but...

(1) Has anyone used this supplement?

(2) What do you think of it?

Thanks in advance,

There's a review I wrote of it in today's issue of Pyramid. www.sjgames.com/pyramid

It gives a quick add on of critical hits that is easy to implement. They add a little more danger to PCs and increase the importance of threat range and AC.

I demoed it at Gen Con as well to useing some of it for my game. It does expand on crits, but it's the new healing rules that I really like.

I was a playtester. I'm not a fan of critical hit systems personally, but Torn Asunder has probably the best system out there right now in terms of balancing effects with playability,

I really like some of the other material in it -- particularly the healing rules.

I own it and read it but haven't had a chance to USE it yet. But man, I can't wait... Finally, nice rules for Crits.. and like everyone else said, the healing rules rock as well..

I just recently got Torn Asunder and I love it.

The crits, called shots, healing and ac/damage rules are all nice and not too complex, easy to insert into most any GM's campaign with no effort or minimal effort at most.

I had been using a homebrew armor system to represent armor wearing out, requiring the players to keep their armor repaired and in good shape, as the armor would get hacked n bashed up.Then when T20 came out I kludged it togather with their ac/damage system.

But now I am going to scrap it and use the Torn Asunder rules as the baseline and build off its crit/called shot rules for armor getting beat up. Should vastly streamline rather good after the kludged system I have been using.

Next on my to buy list is their arms & armor book, should be well worth the money if it compares to Torn Asunder.
