This sounds utterly bonkers. I can't wait to see it. Safely. From a great distance. Streaming, hopefully.
I have to think it'll be a meatgrinder of a funnel to get those down to manageable numbers pretty fast.Could you imagine having to wait for your turn to come? 5 teams of 15, wonder how that'll work?
Kind of wondering if players will have to fight within their group before advancing. I'd assume there will be more than one GM tooI have to think it'll be a meatgrinder of a funnel to get those down to manageable numbers pretty fast.
That would be my guess too. The game is only scheduled for Saturday 1-4:30, pretty short game for that many players. So, I'm sure some players will be out almost immediately.Or one referee for each group, maybe.
Like the movie Battle Royale, or for less niche audiences, The Hunger Games, or for people under 25, Fortnite.Battle royale??
They literally call it out as a "battle royale" and explain that they're going to kill each other in the video, which normally only has one winner (or maybe a very small number of co-winners, c.f. Hunger Games) so it pretty much has to be, yes. They'll be fighting each other - either within or without the groups they're in or both. With fifteen teams of 5 it'll presumably be team on team. No doubt some monsters, the arena shrinking and so on will kill people too. One easy funnel with a space station is "place about to vent to vacuum, but not enough vac suits for everyone".I have to think it'll be a meatgrinder of a funnel to get those down to manageable numbers pretty fast.
Yeah, lots of good ways to shrink the playfield combined with a ticking clock. They'll be fighting each other - either within or without the groups they're in or both.
