I really liked the first Hellboy, and I have high hopes for this sequel. I only hope Del Toro incorporates some of the dark imagery he used to great effect in Pan's Labyrinth.

Oh, and I do hope he gets his other projects off the ground. Specifically the new Tarzan film he's planning to direct, and Lovercraft's At the Mountains of Madness.

Really looking forward to this one. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one. Perlman is perfect as Hellboy and I've been looking forward to another del Toro movie after Pan's Labyrinth.

Looks like the series is going "Urban Arcana" from reading this article in yesterday's USA Today. Elves, trolls and goblins in the big city.

From reading the article I wonder who's having more direction on where the series is going - Mike Mignolia or Guillermo del Toro?
