No, but he does hallucinate a bit due to certain drug effects so that *could* be an explanation. There's also a lot of metaphor, being noir.

I found many elements that were call-backs to the game (Ragnarok, visions of his wife & kid, etc.). Definitely going with the "rogue cop" angle, and some homage to the game's bullet-time as well. So I'm cautiously hopeful.

Of course, no one does Max Payne better than Penny Arcade.

Looks interesting. Sometimes, I'm glad I don't know the games/comics/etc that these movies come from because then I can say 'looks interesting' instead of 'looks interesting, but x had BETTER be in the movie' or some such stuff like that. [Remembering people complaining about Wanted before it came out].
 

I think Wanted the movie can only be better than the comic book. The comic book didn't have much of a story; had one good idea and didn't seem to go much anywhere with it IMO.
