Well, in my continuing quest to not pay full price for gaming books, at Gen Con yesterday, I picked up a starter set for GURPS Traveller which included the main book, an adventure, GM screen, GURPS Lite rules and a book on alien races. The individual books were $65, bundled as a $30 bundle, which I got for half price.
After thumbing through it, I thought I might stop back at the booth again today. They had a bunch of supplements for the game for three for $10. And a bunch of GURPS 3.0 core books. (I have one, which Vince has, so a couple more floating around the group would be a good thing.)
I have many GURPS books at home and while I have always found them to be great, detailed sourcebooks, I have never actually played the system. Supposedly it is really solid. And it has been around forever.
So this might be yet ANOTHER possibility for the Traveller game next weekend.
