[Tricky Owlbear] Behind the Monsters: Bulette released!

Tricky Owlbear Publishing, Inc. is pleased to bring you the third release in the Behind the Monsters line, this one focusing on that most dangerous predator the bulette!

These pdfs follow a format similar to that found in the popular Behind the Spells series (also presented by Tricky Owlbear Publishing) so chances are good that, if you enjoy that series, this one will also strike your fancy. Each issue is narrated by Jadrin Nelv, monk of the Order of the Sacred Branch. Jadrin schools novice monks in the ways of the multiverse's creatures and we, the readers, get to listen in. Whether you're a player or a GM, you will find something of use within these pages. Includes two adventurer combat tactics, one new monster, and one new spell!

This pdf is written by prolific Dungeon Crawl Classics author Mike Ferguson (author of BtM: Xorn) and contains original artwork by Rick Hershey.

You can purchase this pdf at two spots. RPGNow here: http://enworld.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=50385
or YourGamesNow here: http://www.yourgamesnow.com/index.p...d=1823&zenid=4ecedfb87971fd012b0e3d5b7071c372

Just a quick addition--Tricky Owlbear's other titles are now available from YourGamesNow! This includes the first two releases of Behind the Monsters (Owlbear and Xorn) as well as the first of the newest batch of Behind the Spells (Vampiric Touch). One more choice to pick up your favorite Tricky Owlbear goodies!

As a monster guy, I gotta say, I really dig these products. You guys have done a great job with balancing fluff and crunch, and the result is a very satisfying little product.

If you don't mind telling, what monsters do you have slated for this series in the coming months?

Thanks, BD! That is a great compliment from one of the more renowned monster guys out there. :D (On a side note, I received my contributor's copy of your Dungeon Denizens for Goodman--very nice work!)

What's next for BtM? Here's the rundown of monsters and authors in the works...

Lich (Mike Ferguson)
Barghest (Axel Carlsson, me)
Skeleton (me)

I'm thinking about having an open call for writers as I'd much rather wear the developer/editor hat for this series while I concentrate on the Tricky Owlbear's other projects. We'll see. I'm very much a seat-of-the-pants person when it comes to the two Behind the... series.

Hey Napftor -

I've been meaning to buy pretty much ALL the Behind the Spells, but I heard a rumor of a compilation of them coming out. Is that in the plan somewhere?

Thanks for asking, Funk. There will definitely be a pdf version which combines the first 36 issues (those originally published under the Ronin Arts banner). All include errata and some of the leaner issues have been expanded with new material. It is likely that the print book will be a POD version of this 95,000+ word pdf. Do we have a release date for this? Not at this time, except to say that it should be out around the end of the year (if not sooner!)
