[Troll] 3.5 cover

A scoop! Here are some bits of an interview of Henry Higginbotham, who has already designed the three core book cover :

Q : So, what will the new covers look like :

A : They had to be evocative of each book, so :
* The PHB looks like a worn out rusted chainmail, with rips through wich you can see bleeding fleshs and broken bones.

* The DMG, the book forbidden to players, has a pale leather texture, with metal ornament riveted in the border, dusty spider web, and a greenish phosphorescent title : you will see it glowing in the dark.

*For the new MM, we have tastefuly used the following : yellow scaly skin, goo-drooling lamprey mouths and entrail-looking binding !

Q : What are you especially proud of ?

A : Not only will it be visual, but you will have a tactil sensation, too ! It was hard, but we have now a very soft hard cover for the MM ! Alas, I wasn't able to convince the staff to add this "pseudo natural troll perfume" inside the book.

Q : another scoop ?

A : I'have allready started to work on the new PsiHB : I just bought a dozen of dog's fresh brain, and three pounds of squid's tentacles ! It will just be great !

Q : Thanks.

Amusingly enough, I thought you meant there'd be a Troll on the cover of the book. :D

The cover of Wraith from White Wolf did the glow-in-the-dark title thing too. Although, in that case you couldn't see the title at all unless it was dark. Kinda bad planning on their part. :-)

I'd actually like those covers especially the glow in the dark one.

Yeah! Let's just hope someone at Wizards happens upon this and decided they would be cool! If they could do that cool texture thing that would be ****ing AMAZING!

A book with a cover actually made from chainmail... BRILLIANT! Okay, I vow, as whatever higher power is my witness, that if I ever start a game company, I will produce such a book! (minus the tears and blood, yuck-o)
