Currently, Trotamunda, my upcoming game, can officially be called Gold. Six years of development have passed, and it’s time to give it closure. The game has now moved into final editing, with the goal of completing the art and layout by mid-year. In the meantime, I’m planning to release a Quickstart Guide soon. I’m not sure how soon, but soon. I’m starting the first layout tests for this guide, so don’t worry: the final manual will be much better. The Quickstart Guide is designed to give a preview of the game’s tone, its world, and its mechanics, alongside a playable adventure. It will be available as a free download with a "pay what you want" option for those who wish to support the development. All proceeds will go toward improving the final game’s art, layout, and content. Here are some draft layouts and a brief summary of the world and adventure included in this guide. I hope you enjoy it!

What is Trotamunda? Trotamunda is a world where humanity never existed. Instead, it is inhabited by anthropomorphic animals who walk upright, wear clothes, and debate municipal taxes. Beneath its surface lies a massive living dungeon, a dark abyss that deeply resents the surface dwellers. On the surface, the Protectorates offer a false sense of security, weakening monsters and allowing the Civilized to worry about mundane things, like avoiding a mugging over a loaf of bread. But tensions run high. The Civilized—domesticated animals like dogs and cats—look down on the Wilds, untamed creatures with their own rich and complex societies. This conflict, along with the mysteries of the dungeon, sets the stage for adventures full of satire, irony, and chaos.

The Adventure: "Precinct 11 ¾: Night Shift" In the heart of the Protectorate of Cordona, players take on the roles of guards stationed at the 11 ¾ precinct—a place forgotten by glory and logic. In this introductory adventure, they will solve mysteries and confront absurdities in the El Centro district, where everything changes at night, though never in the way they expect. At Precinct 11 ¾, the Escombros—the most peculiar team in the Cordona Guard—face what seems to be a quiet night. Everything changes when they discover a burning trash can. Gutiérrez sees it as their chance to catch the elusive serial arsonist and salvage their reputation. But what starts with fire and routine will lead them to a far deeper mystery at the antique shop "The **** Brother."
