Troubled Troll Grotto is an adventure set in the Dolmenwood, detailing a small cave complex inhabited by a two-headed troll who preys on passers-by and feasts on moss and fungi grown on the corpses of their victims. The grotto has been thrown into chaos by various intruders including a band of skeleton thieves and a pair of nefarious Drune who have unearthed strange treasures around a buried portal.
This adventure takes place on the Cave-Path through the Ballow-Clefts, in hex 1208. While the adventure does allude to a number of features and npcs detailed in the DCB, no prior knowledge of them or the hex itself is required to run it. The scenario includes interesting factions, weird hazards, a challenging puzzle, some brand new magic items and a very strange artifact that belonged to none other than Wrygott Gnarlgruff himself.
This adventure is suitable for PCs of Level 2 or higher. A total of approximately 6,000gp worth of monetary treasure is present. New magic items and fungi are also listed with their gp value, and many common and rare fungi and herbs are present.
