Well dang...things got messy there!!

Messy is an understatement of monumental proportion.

If it wasn't for some of the humorous beats in Bon Temps, this would have been downright difficult to watch.

I was hoping for a payoff with Tara being (effectively) on V and able to do a little more damage. Also, I was really hoping she'd keep the morningstar, but came around when she tricked the guard. It's nice to see someone on the show have a plan! I cheered when she called Sookie an idiot. RW knocked the acting this episode out of the park.

Best moment of the ep: Jason's appreciative nod before interrupting the football player. Jesus and the car windows was a close second.

Still not really invested in Sam's storyline, though I've definitely warmed to Tommy. Couldn't really care less about Lafayette, Jason, or Jessica right now.

Doesn't feel messy to me at all, and every storyline had enough movement to satisfy me nicely.

Jason's storyline (the Crystal part) is interesting for one reason: what is Crystal? I'm particularly intrigued due to how beat up her fiancée was.

Well this makes all the relationships in Buffy seem natural in comparison.

Maybe this was an episode where blood and violence are out in full force, but I always felt previous seasons were more restrained. Felt there was a little too much of it, but the ending is.. intriguing.

Still, I enjoyed this episode, particularly
Tara's escape and Eric turning against the Queen.

This was probably the most gorey and powerful episode across all TB seasons, IMHO.
