Front Range Warlock
I just picked this up today and, while I love the content, the pages are already starting to come loose at the spine. Out of curiosity, was there some kind of binding foul-up that I'm not aware of, or did I just get the one bad book in the bunch? I found it pretty disconcerting that pages were already beginning to separate after less than an hour of page turning :(

[Note: To make matters worse, the book has been in the hold bin with my name on it since it arrived at the store, so it never accrued any actual shelf wear.]

I'd take it back and get another one, sounds like a dud.

Well, if they had another one in stock, I would ;) Sure, I could do the practical thing and ask them to return the fouled copy to the distributor, ordering a new one -- but IME, that often winds up really irriating somebody along the line, resulting in a lengthy delay in my getting a new book (so I thought it best to first see if there was some kind of a batch printing error and if the publsiher was handling reissues themselves, as they've been known to do).

I bought the PDF and had it printed and bound through Print Fu. It has yet to show up, but I like the idea of more durable bindings for books that will see frequent use.

I bought the pdf, printed it out double-sided at home and took it to Kinko's to have it spiral (coil) bound. I also printed out the covers and had them laminated for extra protection

I do this with any book I buy these days that I'm going to get a lot of use out of. I can fold it over or leave it lying open without breaking the spine.

It costs a little more (about $12 for lamination and binding) but it's worth it.
