Hello all, I'm working on some "new" classes, and I'm looking to give them good (evocative, cool, original) names. Since many people here have wonderful imagination and insight, perhaps I could profit from it :D. I already have some names, but that's only because I had to identify each "concept" in order to distinguish them one from another... You will probably notice that many names are borrowed from various Prestige Classes... So here are the classes and a short description (I'm working to build more base classes to forego the use of Prestige Classes. I'm also trying to build them so that every class has flexibility AND gains something new every level) "Totem Barbarian": A barbarian that draws his powers and inspiration from a particulare animal. "Warpriest": A cleric more focused on combat. "Mystic": Probably a spontaneous casting monk/cleric. "Devotee": A cleric more fanatically devoted to his/her god. "Beastlord": A druid in touch with a particular animal. "Plantlord": A druid in touch with plants in general. "Verminlord": A druid in touch with vermin in general. "Archer": A fighter focused on ranged weapons (and not just bows). "Weaponmaster": A fighter focused on a particular (melee) weapon, foregoing the use of all others. "Swashbuckler": lightly-armored fighter that uses his wits as much as his weapon. "Cavalier": mounted fighter. "Ninja": monk focused on innocuous movement and special attacks/blows. "Inquisitor": LE paladin. "Freedom fighter": CG paladin. "Lord of Negation": CE paladin. "Jack-of-all-trades": a rogue focused on skills. "Mentat": a sorcerer focused on Divination and Enchantment spells. "Life Mage": a sorcerer focused on conjuration and necromancy. "Warmage": a sorcerer focused on Abjuration and Evocation. "Manipulator": a sorcerer focused on Illusion and Transmutation. "Dragon mage": a sorcerer that draws his powers directly from draconic ascendance. "Arcane Warrior": fighter / spontaneous arcane caster. "Militant mage": the non-spontaneous equivalent of the Arcane Warrior. I know, I know, that's a lot of classes... Any thoughts or comments are welcome (but I'm looking for name ideas for now... Once I have their level progression thought out, I'll post in House Rules). Thanks in advance! AR
