Well i am not an Oklahoman per sa but i lived there for several years. You may believe that you are in another world at first. You may even be critical for awhile? but after you have been there to see know and understand you see actual americans fighting for their liberty and freedom. You will say the same thing i did and that the federal soldiers will be supporting the indians this time instead of running them out to reservations. When i was preparing to move back to the state where i am now the shawnee indians had taken over the court house. Yes it is still going on in todays world. I think too the only ones that care? The water is very polluted and soil due to the oil companies that just picked up and left their contaiminated messes. The State should have fined each company for everyday they allowed this contamination but they did not. This started in the oil crash back in late 70's to early 80's. They have been many birth defects reported in and around Cushing for example. I was told this by the wife of an oilman there working. Tulsa is a very nice city so i had been told. There is rivalry between oklahoma city and tulsa because of all the industry which oklahoma city does not have and tulsa has. They had a program called MAPS which they tried to get money to support so they could rennovate downtown oklahoma city but people would just not support it. Then came the Bombing of the Alfred P Murrah Building downtown. It was pure devestation. Feeling sorry for the oklahoma gas and electric people that first had to climb up into the building to put lights in so they could start looking for people and their sightings. There were people coming out of the woodwork to help. I could not walk or go to the sight even after it was cleaned up. When people ask if i had been there i said NO! that is sacred ground. People died there and it belongs to the people of Oklahoma and those that were there that day. Until they have a place where i can go and walk will i go there. They have a beautiful memorial now so i have heard. I have not been back because i know that if i do go back i will stay and never return to the state where i am. I have pure rspect for the people of Oklahoma. They have been through many things and each time come out shinning and making at least me feel ashamed for ever compalining about anything. To always fight for the decency and things you believe in. You will see yourself and America in Oklahoma and what we stand for. Judith brison
