[QUOTE="Halcyon, post: 2133136, member: 30251"] IMO if you can take things from BoED, you're better off taking intuitive attack than weapon finesse. It lets you use your WIS mod in place of STR for attack rolls. This lets you focus on WIS much more which has several advantages. Firstly, because he's a monk increases in either Dex or Wis will add to his AC, so no issue there. The real benefit is that many of the monk's abilities (i.e. stunning fist, quivering palm etc) have their save DC based (partially) on the monk's WIS mod, so you make those harder to resist. The only thing DEX does WIS does not if you take this feat is add to initiative and skill checks. I would definitely suggest that feat. I have to agree with ken-ichi though that flying monsters are going to be a very big problem for this character to deal with. Monks with a VoP are very tough, but usually the best they can do for ranged weapons is some non-mw simple weapon like a sling. A sacred fist cant even do that much, so its going to be really hard to go after flying things. I guess eventually the monk could start opting to use his 1 dimension door/day to try to appear over the dragon and grapple, but that may not be the best idea ;) If the party expects to fight dragons in the open a lot VoP may have to be skipped for something that is going to let this melee beast of a monk actually get toe to toe with the beasts.
