Twin Rose - Many GenCon Thanks

Twin Rose

First Post
These are my GenCon thanks. It's going to be a long list, as there are just so many to thank for helping Twin Rose Software, and especially me, for having such a fun and successful show. Please take your time to read the whole list, everyone deserves to be recognized for everything that they did. If I forget anyone, I'll be sure and edit or reply to this post, to make sure they get in there. Some thanks have already been given, so don't feel bad if I didn't repeat them.

EN Publishing for enjoying our booth and helping us get exposure in probably the deadest spot of the Con. I'm not sure how, but we surely found the black hole! And of course, for Canadia Suite, what a blast. Poutine rocks! (Especially on Steak Fries.)

Sam and Kim Witt for taking time to walk slow with us, since Dee was still on crutches. Not only did they do it once, they proved it was more than politeness by joining us again.

Peter Adkinson deserves many thanks not only for a great show, but taking quite a bit of time out of his schedule to help Dee and I, and really listen to our thoughts and ideas, especially about Dee's handicapped situation. Great guy all around, and highly recommend his company.

Everyone who sold our products at their booths. Profantasy, Osseum, RPGObjects and all the retail vendors. Seeing my product and more than one booth really made me feel really good.

The people who donated products to the EN World gathering definately deserve thanks, I felt like a king showing up with all of that swag for everyone. These products were essentially donated for all of EN World, but those who stuck around for free stuff and drinks got the end result. They are all listed individually on this thread:

PS O'Rourkes, for being the classiest place in town! Looking forward to a shuttle next year.

The Troll Lords, WizKids, and Teflon Billy for being there for a GREAT time (you all know what I mean). "Initiative Guy" will always have a special place in my inside jokes.

Jim Butler for taking his time to look at my first book, coming soon. And for starting a debate about whether or not it's "Role-play" or "roleplay". (Will start another thread about THAT one soon).

Code Monkey Publishing, for a number of reasons. I hope they remember the round of drinks I bought for all of Code Monkey, but I'll thank them anyway in this post as well. I will NOT thank whoever had the bright idea of having me klingon-jailed for "Wishing he was a monkey.." But, being jailed with so many monkeys, at the very moment that Leopold broke the record for longest jail sentance was truly something special.

Mr. Anthony Valterra, for being a generally great guy, giving me swag, and for creating a tasteful and well-done product. Also for knowing how to party, and for making sure I took a break and had some water. That was very much needed water!

Thanks to Liisa, who noone on here knows, but one day I'm sure they will. Not only for being a cutie, but for teaching me a lot about Canada, which came in very handy spending so much time with Canadians at the show.

Brannon Hollingsworth, for throwing a copy of Forged at me. (Literally). That book came in very handy on the flight home. As sick as I was, I was able to sit and read and keep my mind off of it. Great book!

All the Ennies judges, for choosing my product to be worthy of a nomination. I was truly honored to be among such great company in that award!

Dee (FractalWave) deserves special thanks for working so hard at the booth, doing so many demonstrations, and helping organize so many things while I was out shmoozing or sleeping. GenCon is a lot of work, in and out of the booth, and without here I would not have been able to do nearly as much as I did, and accomplish so much.

Bynw and Tika (psionics.net chat) for being so much fun. I'm pretty sure it was you I heard cheering so loudly for the Ennie nominations, though I can't be sure. Still, I think my cheers were loudest of all in my category (perhaps because everyones hands and throats weren't tired yet?) but it made me feel great!

I wish I could thank everyone who made great products, but the bar is so high this year, and everything I saw/traded/received/bought was so good I couldn't possibly list them all. Great job, guys, keep it up! Looking forward to getting your stuff in Campaign Suite.

Lastly, my customers, fans, and everyone who makes suggestions on how to make Campaign Suite better, stronger, and faster. Without them, none of this would have been possible, you all are owed a great deal of thanks and I pray for your continued support.

I'm putting a reply here for special thanks. I want to thank EN World, as is clear from the above list that SO much was EN World related that it is clearly needed. This includes my thanks to Morrus and Eric, but it goes beyond that to include every poster, every judge, everyone. You all deserve thanks on such a wonderful community.
