Twin Strike Daggermaster Punisher of the Gods

What do you think of:

A Half Elf Brutal Scoundrel Rogue who takes Versatile Master at Pagaon and gets Twin Strike as an at-will.

Combine this with Daggermaster 15% crit chance and throw Dagger to use Dex stat.

Then throw in Punisher of theh Gods at Epic.

Lots of Action Points every encounter, and throw in Action Surge and use all your normal rogue powers with the AP's that now get a +3 TH.

And you have just negated the -1TH issue of being a Half Elf rogue.

I admit you may be less optmized than all other Rogues level 1 to 10.

But at Paragon you are pretty good and at Epic you are the most powerful straight Rogue build that I can see.

Is POTG outlawed as its not part of the core rules ? and just from a Dragon article, like Drow for example.

What if you made it that the POTG skill only enabled me one AP per round if I happened to crit, I wouldnt want to make it infinite.

That'll work great if any DM lets you play a punisher of the gods. IIRC, they lead to some sort of infinite action problem.

What he said, but if you want to get into this sort of silliness, then consider the following build:

Half-Elf, Avenger, Daggermaster, Punisher of the Gods
Build: Pursuing Avenger
Avenger's Censure: Censure of Pursuit
Background: Cormyr (General)

FINAL ABILITY SCORES
Str 22, Con 14, Dex 17, Int 12, Wis 24, Cha 12.

Starting Ability Scores
Str 15, Con 10, Dex 13, Int 10, Wis 17, Cha 8.

AC: 35 Fort: 32 Reflex: 30 Will: 33
HP: 202 Surges: 9 Surge Value: 50

TRAINED SKILLS
Religion, Stealth, Athletics, Perception, Thievery.

FEATS
1: Sneak of Shadows
2: Improved Armor of Faith
4: Two-Weapon Fighting
6: Swift Blade Style
8: Two-Weapon Defense
10: Weapon Expertise (Light Blade)
11: Versatile Master
12: Invigorating Pursuit
14: Action Surge
16: Action Recovery
18: Backstabber
20: Devastating Critical
21: Two-Weapon Opening

POWERS
1, At-Will: Bond of Pursuit
1, At-Will: Overwhelming Strike
1, At-Will: Twin Strike

ITEMS
Wraithblade Dagger +6 (2)

With Wraithblade, if you crit, you automatically deal your Sneak Attack damage, regardless if you have already used the ability this encounter or this round (depending on if you have Sneak Attack or Sneak of Shadows).

Twin Strike, 4 rolls against two targets, crit on 18-20, on a crit deal 2d4+5d8+6d6+1d10 damage, and if you crit with your main hand attack, gain an extra attack. With Immortal Curse, that is 100 damage per crit, and there are still many opportunities to tailor this build so that it has some additional oomph for non-crits as well ;)

The PotG cheese can be easily circumvented by limiting the AP gain to 1/encounter.

That's probably a good guideline for any power/ability/item that grants you extra APs, in fact.

Yeah, tbh I've been out of touch with the goings of wotc's optimization boards, so I wasn't clear on the exact problem, merely that it was one of those things so broken that it's a complete conversation stopper.

I must just forget POTG's if its broken.

But Twin Strike rogue + Wraithblade just got intersting.

Beats Bloodiron doesn it.

Even 1 per turn wopuld tone it down a bit.
If you have 2 attacks, then minor attacks, then 2F Shooter for atatcks of crits, you can get quite a few attacks in...

Then start using your AP's then if any of tose crit, get another AP.

Making it just one per turn would negate the opp. for recuring atatcks.
