two great gamer interactions this week (community)

First Post
first off, rpgshop.com- my lovely and tlaented wife decided we both needed 3.5 phb's (i know, lucky man) and i TRIED to order them from "rpgshop" here on the site.

i mistakenly ordered 2 3.5 monster manuals and failed to notice it on the e,mail i was sent confirming my order. i called, and got a guy named james i think (rpghost here on the boards.) he made everything alright, laughing with/at me where appropriate and generally being easy to get along with.

THEN-

an email comes form suzi yee, the better half of jgbrowning. she is working on their newest upcoming release MMS:Culture and Ecology and wanted to confirm her pottery research.

i was amazed at what she had dug up and grasped herself before ever contacting me! we ha a short phone chat about kilns and chemicals and she semi-previewed the material for me. something tells me i am going to end up owning every book those two put out.

add that on top of the morons i now game with in memphis(who i found through here) throwing around great in-character emails getting ready to really take off on our campaign and it has been a great community week for me, and it is only wednesday!

Who you calling a moron?!

Clay, I think you failed your Diplomacy check. Put some more ranks into that skill. :D

I am pleased to hear that Suzi Yee contacted you and is making an effort to get the right information on a real world topic: pottery. I respect authors who try to get the facts right on any topic. (Pottery making has been a major industry in several cultures, and archeologists have learned a lot about ancient cultures by examining pottery shards.) The late Gordon R. Dickson actually contacted behavioral experts on wolves for his novel Wolf and Iron, set in America after an economic collapse creates a new Dark Ages.

If you are going to do anything do it well.
