two spells: please comment

Theo R Cwithin

I cast "Baconstorm!"
I need a couple really low level necro spells. Do these look about right for their levels? (Please excuse the truly uninspiring names )

(1) A cantrip along the lines of Animate Dead:
[sblock]Make Minor Transient Undead
Necromancy [Evil]

Level: Clr 0, Death 0, Sor/Wiz 1
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Targets: One corpse touched
Duration: 1 minute per level (max 5 minutes)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

This spell turns the bones or body of single dead tiny (or smaller) animal or vermin into an undead skeleton or zombie that follows your spoken commands. The resulting undead can have no more than 1/2 HD (or 1HD, within the area of a desecrate effect).

A caster can have no more than one Minor Transient Undead per caster level in his control at one time. If the caster exceeds this number, all newly created Minor Transient Undead are controlled, and any excess ones from previous castings of this spell become inanimate and are destroyed. (A destroyed skeleton or zombie can’t be animated again.)

A Minor Transient Undead can never be permanently animated (as are the undead created with Animate Dead); however, they also do not count against the total HD the caster can control resulting from higher level effects (eg, Animate Dead).[/sblock]

(2) A level 1 spell built around the sickened condition:
[sblock]Sicken
Necromancy

Level: Sor/Wiz 1
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area: One or more living creatures within a 10-ft.-radius burst
Duration: 1 minute/level
Saving Throw: Fort negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

A burst of unhealthy negative energy causes up to 8HD of living creatures to become sickened for 1 minute per caster level. Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first.

This spell has no effect on a creature that is already sickened or nauseated; nor does it affect creatures with more than 5HD; nor does it affect creatures immune to poison or disease.[/sblock]Thanks for any comments.

1) Looks okay to me, in that I cannot see any possible room for abuse (nor can I see what use it has). :p

2) Seems fair enough - weaker than sleep at any rate.
