Well dang! I thought my join date was 7/23/2003. Instead it was 7/13/2003. I am almost a week late with this! It has been a bit over two years that I delurked and became involved in the EN World community. I still remember my first post. I was looking to see what the 3.5 changes to the Bard were going to bring about. There was a discussion on how good/bad the changes were. I finally felt like I had something to say and that I needed to say it. That was over two years and 3000 posts ago. Whew! In no particular order... I remember finding Piratecat's Story Hour. I thought that I had seen enough posts about the durned thing that I had better at least take a look at it. How bad could it be? Little did I know that I would devour all those posts and become part of the horde of fan boys. I remember the panic I felt when in October of 2003, Morrus announced the bad news and how the community reacted. I remember finding Ceramic DM for the first time. I remember Phil Reed announcing the release of the Campaign Planner. I remember the great DRM debates. I remember postings about EN Worlders that have moved on past this life. I remember reading Sialia's stories, and commenting on her art. I remember emailing back and forth with Macbeth before he joined my gaming group. I remember Rel's Story Hour, and exchanging emails with him about his alternate Exp system. (Still using it!) I remember reading Pogre's Story Hour, culminating in yet another TPK. I remember a few months later, tossing in a few of my ideas on his villians for his new campaign. The story hour on that one is still going! I remember discussions on rules, plots, NPCs, storylines, storyarcs, metathemes, and a huge variety of other topics. I remember so many things about this community. I cannot list them all, but these come to mind easily. I like many of you and I think of you as friends, even if I have never met you personally. I feel concern about you when I see that bad things have happened in your piece of the world. I am happy for you when you post about great things. I hold you in my thoughts when you post about bad things. I love to hear about your games. I enjoy talking 'shop' with you. EN World is a special place for me. It is special because of all of you. I have been around here for a couple of years and I have posted a few of my thoughts. But I keep coming back, I keep reading and posting, because of you. I am proud to be part of this community and I am honored to have virtually conversed with so many of you. It's been two years +. I plan to keep coming here as long as I can. I hope to see all of you here in the future, and I hope there are new avatars as well. But I just wanted to say thanks for the fun so far. BardStephenFox AKA David Moore
