Hmmm, it would appear that many of my campaigns have been a combination of Concealed Linear and Dynamic squashed together. My worlds are very detailed. As some of my buddies have said, "The Wombat doesn't walk in the forests -- trees hate him!" (Hmm, but what about all those hikes in the redwoods...? Anyway...) I also like having the players involved in the process, not only in creating their own characters, but also in adding to the setting. At some point in the whole process it stops being "my" world and becomes "our" world -- that is the Sweet Spot for gaming and me! That being said, I usually have a BBEG (or plot or something) lurking in the background of the world. This is never revealed straight away, but only slowly dawns on the group. This revealed plot may not be The Plan To End The World, but it will be large, evolving, and take up quite a bit of their time and energy once they do find out about it. Still, we are collectively fleshing out the world as well. And sometimes ideas they develop on their own get incorporated into the larger plot ... or become foils for it. In other words, while there are good bones to the earth, the whole process is fluid. Yeah, a good mix for me ;)
