Well, a while ago I was browsing through the Book of Eldritch Might (I forgot which one) and I saw one of the spells, and immediately thought of this concept, tell me if its flawed but so far this is the strongest concept I thought up.
Minimum Requirements: Wiz 17, perferred: Wiz 5/Incantrix 10/Archmage 2
Hide Life (9th, Tome and Blood)+Arcana Form (9th, Book of Eldritch Might 1 or 2)+Haste+Shapechange (Spellweaver, Creature Catalog)-The last two aren't needed.
Item-An item with Elminister's Effugent Espuration (Magic of Faerun), minimum cost is 275,400.
With this combination of spells, you can effectively Time Stop every 1d4+1 rounds, cast Meteor Swarm/Horrid Wilting 4 times a round (Multi-tasking ability of the Spellweaver), cast a quickened spell of up to 5th or 6th level (if you're an incantrix), for every single round of the whole day. (Persistant Arcana Form due to improved metamagic, or a Rod of Greater Persistant Spell, if possible)
Not to mention, you're immune to death spells (incantrix), damage (hide life), spells as a whole (Elminister's Effugent Espuration), I'm not sure if it prevents death attack, if not, simply get a +1 large shield of greater fortification and spellcasting.
To prevent anyone from getting your Hide Life receptacle, check the thread, Hide Life-where to hide it? For the imprisoned kobold solution
One weakness is Antimagic field, although you are not killed by it, you simply 'vanish' for the duration that its there, and most antimagic things don't have flying so if you're under the effects of a fly spell and high above in the air the creature can't fly w/ an antimagic field, you're safe as well.
Another concept is a shifter of any sort, who shifts into a blackball (creature catalog), who can kill most devil lords with a touch attack, just has to watch out for gate and similar spells.
Of course, both of these concepts would practically require an insane DM to allow you to play them...but hey, its fun to dream.
Edit-You don't even need an item with Elminister's Effugent Espuration at will, just memorize it once due to Arcana Form...
