For the lovers, the haters, and the merely curious: Ultimate X-Men #50.

Brian Vaughan and Andy Kubert make a pretty good team, but they haven't really grabbed me yet. Even Millar's run on the book was uneven. Not saying I don't like it, though -- it definitely has its moments.

Between this and the X-Force preview, it really has shown me that I made a correct decision in no longer collecting comics. This stuff has absolutely no appeal to me.

And I'm not too fond of the re-imaging either.

Actually, it just tells you you're not picking the right titles.

I mean, really, X-titles?

Go pick up Gotham Central or Sleeper. But no, they never give free previews
of those. Or Fables. Y: The Last Man. JSA. Alias/The Pulse. Hawkman. The
Flash. Green Arrow. Wildcats 3.0. Daredevil. Etc.

Just always the frickin' X-Men, Spider-Man and the JLA.

I must concur, although there is one X-title I think is Sleeper-level brilliant: District X.

I haven't read any of that yet. I usually don't touch anything X-ified
unless I hear some really good things about it. And then I just try to
borrow the trade from the library. Then, if I really liked it, I might
consider picking up the title.

The neverending X-mania is just totally beyond me.
