Not exactly. :D Volume I has not been updated in a long time -- it is a stable product... (release 2.0.0 is the current version). Volume II has also not been updated in a while either -- it, too, is a fairly product... (release 2.0.1 is the current version) Volume III is the one that has been updated -- and that is because it is in the 0.0.x release cycle. This is the cycle where I present the material and anyone that has comments, concerns or ideas can voice them to me (in the Umbragia forums) and let me know where they feel that the book needs correcting, editing, adjustments or what have you. For example, although the 0.0.1 release was perfectly playable, the volunteer crew has so far:

Gone through four overhauls of the Backfire system to ensure that it is as smooth as possible and involves as little die-rolling as it can to keep things moving in the game. Bookkeeping for this area of the book has been reduced substantially without loosing any of the 'feel' of the system.
Made sure that the Backfire system is weighted by the activating spell's level, not so much by the ammount of nagative tally that you have (although this has an effect as well) -- actually, this system, once it was re-done was -- in my very humble opinion -- nothing short of brilliant. Thanks go out to Benjamin Siebold and Nikolaus Ruff. Under the old system, Benjamin found a loophole that would allow a determined mage to cast his way to death while cursing the lands...
Revised the Minstrel class several times in an attempt to make it one of the most customizable classes around. Most all of us on the team feel that this is really improving with each new release of the book. We are very close to putting the lid on this class...
etc...
etc...
etc...
In other words, the 0.0.x releases are a sort of Beta Test that I put out, so that I can work any issues out of a book before I start adding additional material to the setting. Sure, I have completed a lot (read: most) of Volume IV and Volume V. But before I release these, I want a stable (version 1.x.x release or higher) Volume III before I release these for edits...
