uncanny dodge twice ?

If you have a rogue that has uncanny dodge and then they take Assassin and get to the level where the Assassin gets uncanny dodge, do you get Improved Uncanny Dodge instead?

I believe you do, but the wording in the Assassin writeup says if you gain it from another class, which to me means in the future. If they had said, if you "had" it from another class that'd be more clear.

Or maybe I am wrong and it is perfectly clear and you have to wait and get it from yet another class.

The Multiclass Characters section has this to say:

In the special case of uncanny dodge, both experienced barbarians and experienced rogues have the same ability. When a barbarian/rogue would gain uncanny dodge a second time (for her second class), she instead gains improved uncanny dodge, if she does not already have it. Her barbarian and rogue levels stack to determine the rogue level an attacker needs to flank her.
