After seeing the little girl talking with the bird as well, his paranoia cemented the notion that the girl herself is a cultist in disguise, masquerading as the child. Obsessed with the animal and believing it to be constantly watching him, he tracked it and eventually captured it at its favorite roost by the Murmuring Fountain, tying it in a sack and stuffing the squawking package under the drain grate of the fountain’s lower basin. What might otherwise have been a simple act of insane compulsion, however, has become something else as eldritch energies have seeped into the town and caused the spirit of the murdered pet raven, named Eronel by Lereia, to awaken, along with a darker haunting at the town’s heart.</p><p><strong>Spectral Gargoyle:</strong> However, the [raven's roost] haunt’s spiritual energies do not simply dissipate when the haunt is destroyed.
