Undead Treant?

Schmoe

Adventurer
A while back, I remember coming across some stats for an Undead Treant. Now that I find myself wanting to use the creature, I can't remember where exactly I saw the creature. Does anyone know where I could find the stats?

Thanks.

I would slap the vampire or ghost template from the MM on a Treant and boom! Undead treant. Failing that I thought there was one in the Creature Catalog but after a quick search i came up with nothing there. Try posting in the Creature Catalog forum - maybe Gez can help you out.

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. After thinking more about it, I might have seen it when I was glancing through the Creature Collection II. Can anyone verify this?

Anyway, failing that I'll probably just change the creature type to Undead, make any necessary adjustments to stats, and change the Animate Trees ability to something more appropriate. Any ideas?

I remember seeing the Undead Treant in an expansion to the 2E '3-ring binder' Monstrous Compendium. Hope this helps :]

I'm still looking for ideas on an ability I can use to replace the Treant's "Animate Trees". Does anyone have any thoughts? I'm kinda stumped...

What about some kind of wood rot? Any wooden objects touching it must make a fortitude save DC 10 + 1/2 Hit Dice + Con modifier or rot awa instantly. Plant creatures affected by this take an additional 2d6 damage.

My advice, is just use the ghost template and turn it evil Shmoe. That way it can retain it's supernatural abilities. I didn't see any thing about an undead treant in either Creature Collection 1 or 2. I wish I could have been more helpful.
